Page 5 1. Abstract Every system, which wants to provide personalized learning services, needs learner models in order to be able to do so. These models are the product of learner assessment and modelling by different sources, and are subject to constant changes and extensions. This Bachelor Thesis presents the conceptualization and implementation of a browsing system for open active learner modelling. The goal of the browsing system is to give the user the capability to create, browse and edit the learner profile online without the need for installing specialized software. Furthermore, a framework is described which enables other sources to access and change the learner models. Finally, the implementation of a prototype for learner reflection is being presented, which allows the system to test the user and to evaluate the given answers in order to assess the learner’s knowledge.
